The project EcoYOU: Clean and Green minds for an environmental friendly behaviour has developed Joint Study together with the BluE-Map interactive platform to support environmental awareness in the Black Sea Basin.
These two initiatives are interconnected as one solution, combining research insights with real-time action to address environmental challenges.
Joint Study on Environmental Education and Youth Engagement
The study analyses the current situation of environmental education in the partner countries. The study is based on:
- Surveys completed by young people
- Interviews and focus group discussions
- Observations and input from project partners
The Joint Study highlights young people’s views on environmental problems and identifies effective methods for education, awareness-raising, and active participation in environmental protection.
BluE-Map – An Interactive Tool for Environmental Actions
BluE-Map is an online platform developed to collect, visualize, and share information about environmental activities carried out during the project. Through BluE-Map, users can explore:
- Environmental clean-up actions and patrol routes
- Educational workshops and awareness events
- Youth camps and joint activities organized by project partners
- Results of surveys including the Joint Study and researches related to environmental education
In addition, it is also possible for citizens to report environmental issues like illegal waste dumping, large amounts of trash, hazardous waste or any other issue through relevant section on the website.
The platform supports cooperation between citizens, young people, local authorities, and organizations working to reduce pollution and protect natural ecosystems in the Black Sea region.
