The sixth meeting of the Joint Programming Committee for the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme 2021-2027

The sixth meeting of the Joint Programming Committee – body responsible for the preparation of the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme 2021-2027 – was held in hybrid format on the 28th of September 2021, in Bucharest and online.

The representatives of the nine participating countries (Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Republic of Moldova, Romania, Russian Federation, Turkey and Ukraine) and the European Commission discussed the draft performance framework methodology for setting up the indicators at the Programme level and also the options for ensuring the management verifications of the expenditures to be undertaken by the beneficiaries of the future Programme.

Following the discussions during the meeting, the indicators at the Programme level were agreed, whereas their targets are to be set up subsequent to the EC communication regarding the Programme budget. In addition, it was agreed the way for ensuring the management verifications of the expenditures to be undertaken by the beneficiaries of the future Programme.   

Other discussions were held on the possible options to ensure national co-financing for Technical Assistance, while the related decision is to be taken in future meetings, following the finalization of the internal consultations at national level.

The Managing Authority – with the support of TESIM ENI CBC – technical assistance project funded by the EU – continues to organize public consultations during 2021 over the eligible area of the Programme in order to further develop and finalize the cooperation Programme document. The public consultation of the first version of the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme 2021-2027 is currently underway, the document being published at www.blacksea-cbc.net in the dedicated section for the next Programme.
